Tier 3: Very Good Movies

*** Note: I’m honestly not much of a pre-1980s film fan, so that’s why there aren’t that many on this site ***

8/10s aka Very Good movies - these are very well-made films that are both timelessly entertaining and satisfying to watch
.

The following labels will help prepare you for the kind of movie you’re about to watch:
1“- Artsy” films tend to be more slow-paced and ponderous compared to typical Hollywood fare.
2. "- B-Movie" means that while they are fun to watch they are of low artistic quality.
3. “- Comedy” means the movie was primarily designed to be a hit-or-miss joke-fest.
4. "- Creative" films are highly imaginative in one or more ways. They can be highly stylized or feature bizarre production design. They may introduce famous characters or contain highly original ideas. In other words, they are very unique experiences.
5. "- Cult" films are VERY unusual and memorable experiences.
6. "- Hollywoody" movies feel noticeably predictable/formulaic, but nevertheless they can still be very entertaining and well-made. Usually they're feel-good or oscar bait movies, but not always.
7. “- Kids/Family” is pretty self/explanatory.
